"Guess how much I love you," Little Nutbrown Hare asked Big Nutbrown Hare just as he was going to sleep. "This much," said Little Nutbrown Hare, stretching his arms as wide as they could go.
Big Nutbrown Hare, with his long arms stretched out, said, "But I love you this much." Little Nutbrown Hare wanted to make sure that Big Nutbrown Hare knew he really, really loved Big Nutbrown Hare. So he thought of more ways to measure his love. He loved Big Nutbrown Hare as high as he could reach, all the way up his toes, as high as he could hop and as far as the river. Big Nutbrown Hare was eager to express his love too. So, he reciprocated by measuring his love in a similar manner.
Little Nutbrown Hare was getting too sleepy to think. "I love you right up to the moon," he said before he fell asleep. Hmm, so what can Big Nutbrown Hare said to show he loved Little Nutbrown Hare just as much?
